Mortality is a Single-Channel video that depicts the two-legged animal, human beings, as a controller of other organisms. For more than four billion years, time has proven that nothing trumps the power of time. Inspired by Vanitas, still-life paintings of 16th and 17th centuries, Mortality refers to the utility of existence in the 21st century where the being’s brain is functioning beyond expectation. The mirroring image symbolizes dualities in life, of which there are endless examples: birth and death, present and absent, day and night.
